Yes! I "desire" but ... desire to "enter?"

Devotional Reading:
Matthew 19:23
And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:22-24 (in Context)

Devotional Question:
Why Riches? The man desired eternal life ... was his desire pure (a man after God's own heart)?

Devotional Reading:
Mark 10:23
And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!”
Mark 10:22-24 (in Context)

Devotional Question:
Again... This man desires eternal life desperately! Jesus speaks of "entering the kingdom."
How must I enter?

Devotional Reading:
Luke 18:24-25
Jesus, seeing that he had become sad, said, “How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
Luke 18:18-30 (in Context)

Devotional Question:
Do I desire eternal life - or do I desire to enter The Kingdom?

Did You Know?

Jesus tell us how we must enter! He doesn't just stop by telling us how impossible it is to live up to God's perfect standard... both internally (heart) and externally (body). He teaches to enter like a child.
