Devotional Question:
Why (after teaching about the "Kingdom of God" for at least a couple of years) do his disciples still insist on focusing on the Kingdom of Israel?!? He just spent 40 days speaking about the "Kingdom of God" however, Jesus is amazingly patient ... not easily angered... and he reminds them that this is not their focus, worry, or concern.

The very next verse in Acts is quite encouraging! Verse 8 also reminds us that God has a sovereign and providential plan for a human race that is prone to wander... and forget. He blesses his children with another gift that we simply do not deserve - but desperately need!
Acts: 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
