An Arimathean Kingdom Seeker

Devotional Reading:
Mark 15:43
Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, took courage and went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
Mark 15:42-44 (in Context)

Devotional Question:
Are you seeking the Kingdom of God ... Like Joseph of Arimathea?

Devotional Reading:
Luke 23:50-51
Now there was a man named Joseph, from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man, who had not consented to their decision and action; and he was looking for the kingdom of God.
Luke 23:50-56 (in Context)

Devotional Question:
Joseph of Arimathea is commended and remembered as being good and righteous. When standing before a public court of judgement - would there be enough evidence to convict you of being a follower of Christ? Do you hold up Jesus Christ as your king, or just your sidekick?

Did You Know?

Kingdom courage is not human nature. It is a work of God. This is why Jesus sent us a helper!

John 14:15-17
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
